Bangalore, August 19, 2016: Raising the bar for customer experience in online shopping, Flipkart today launched Flipkart Assured - India’s first ‘Quality and Speed assurance’ programme. This programme, launched for all customers across India, ensures that high quality products are delivered in the fastest time possible.

Beginning today, the majority of Flipkart’s most sought-after products across all its popular categories including Fashion, Mobiles, Electronics, Home and Appliances will carry the ‘Flipkart Assured’ badge. All products carrying this stamp will go through a rigorous process of six levels of quality checks, and have an accelerated delivery process to Flipkart’s customers.

Over the years, Flipkart has introduced several customer-centric innovations starting from cash-on-delivery to the more recently introduced easy product exchange and no cost EMI. This is a continuation of Flipkart’s commitment to customers by enabling the highest quality of shopping experience.”

Flipkart has undertaken deep efforts across its entire value chain to launch this programme. All ‘Flipkart Assured’ products are sourced from highly ranked sellers, qualified and filtered through six levels of quality checks across multiple parameters. These include packaging, product specifications, product ratings, return ratio of the item, the seller’s ability to fulfil the order and committed timelines. To further streamline the process, all purchases are packed and shipped by Flipkart to ensure seamless and real-time monitoring.

Flipkart has worked on strengthening its supply chain and warehousing capabilities to ensure strongest quality checks and highest quality of packaging. The sellers’ inventories have been planned to leverage Flipkart’s fulfillment model in the most optimum manner to help deliver products in the fastest possible time. This will ensure that Flipkart Assured products will be delivered across India within two to four days.

This programme is enabled by world class algorithm developed by Flipkart’s data scientists. The algorithm blends a wide range of factors, which includes customer returns, ratings, seller cancellations and other performance related factors integral to a great experience online. This algorithm then badges a product Flipkart Assured purely based on performance. The feedback loop on top of this ensures the algorithms gets progressively better.

Flipkart assured will be available on all platforms - desktop, app as well as Flipkart lite. Flipkart has revamped its website and app to ensure a more engaging user experience, seamless navigation, enhanced discovery for all ‘Flipkart Assured’ products.
