The Whitefield Jazz Quartet

The Whitefield Jazz Quartet is an ensemble that plays a lot of guitar based jazz standards, Latin jazz, classic tunes and smooth jazz, from mellow ballads to up-tempo samba and afro-cuban rhythms, from acoustic to electric, setting a nice mood and tone for the evening. The band has performed at myriad jazz concerts in the city.

Swaralayamrutha is a music band which compromises of young professional musicians. It is an instrumental band compromising of 4 musicians who are disciples of great musicians in India and students of reputed music universities. They have great experience in genres like Indian music, western classical, jazz, world music and fusion and also huge stage shows. The band is specialized with fusion concepts (Indo-western) as it is comprised with well-versed Indian music musicians and western music musicians. The band also believes in experimenting with different music genres.

Tejas Manjunath and Pranav Manjunath, popularly known as “Boston Brothers”, are versatile violin artistes trained mainly in Carnatic classical tradition and yet effortlessly incorporate Western and Hindustani music styles enthralling the audience.
Well versed in the local music tradition, Tejas and Pranav who were born in Boston began training in the violin in the US, until a few years ago, when their family moved to Bengaluru.
Their repertoire includes Carnatic and Western classical compositions, Kannada songs, Bollywood, Western pop and a combination of various styles. They try to play different ragas at each concert, especially the main piece. Since they have a good understanding among themselves, it is easier for us to complement each other. During the concert, they also get requests from the audience for certain ragas or kritis.

Ghatam Giridhar Udupa is one of the leading musicians in the world of rhythm. Thumping into the musical world at an age as tender as 4, Udupa has been mesmerizing the audience with his immaculate style and innate creativity. He performs on the Ghatam, the Indian claypot. He also performs on varied South Indian percussion instruments including Mridangam, Khanjira and Morsing. He renders Konnakol (syllables) with equal aplomb. Udupa has given concerts under the auspices of prestigious Sabhas all over India and abroad, including USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Poland, Czech Republic
Udupa has enriched his music with nuances sought from all schools of music. Accolades have come from around the world. Music lovers celebrate the finesse of his fingering, the dexterity of his playing, and the incomprehensible speed of his intricate rhythmic designs. His fingers simply fly around Ghatam, perennially holding surprises for the audience.
