Kalpataru Group to participate in the mega clean-up drive by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC)

Thane, October 21, 2016: Kalpataru Group has joined hands with the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) to bring forth the “Majhe Sunder Thane” (My City Clean City) initiative, in keeping with the nation-wide Swachh Bharat campaign.

With the aim of cleansing every inch of the city, the clean-up drive is being implemented by the civic body across areas including malls, roads, railway stations, residential societies, private offices, slum areas and more.

To support this campaign, volunteers from the Kalpataru Group that includes Kalpataru Ltd & KORUM Mall along with the TMC will be participating in the clean-up drive on Sunday, 23rd from 8am to 10am. The cleanliness drive will take place on the service road outside KORUM Mall and within the society premises of Siddhachal, Thane.

Besides this, as a part of the larger social initiatives, Kalpataru Group recently adopted 4 railway stations under the theme “Hamara Station Hamari Shaan” wherein employees of Kalpataru Ltd & KORUM Mall participated for the beautification of Central & Western Railway stations that included Thane, Mulund, Santacruz and Goregaon stations. Employees along with other volunteers were engaged in the cleaning and painting of booking windows, platform entrances, railings and foot over-bridges to transform the look and feel of the stations.

Kalpataru Group has a strong community outreach programme spanning Education, Preventive Healthcare and Environment Conservation. The company undertakes several initiatives to improve the lot of communities around its projects. The company’s employee volunteering programme 'Sparsh’ provides a platform for employees to contribute their time, skills and resources towards identified community outreach activities.
