  “Where Silence is a Poem”

She invokes the universe and her Guru before initiating a new work. Her colours are vibrant, intense, harmonious yet subtle. Her textures remind one of the weavers of India. Each work weaves a new story, a new poem and yet ultimately it takes you in a silence zone where you are left with yourself and you realize that silence is beautiful like a poem. The truth told time and again that one’s potential is limitless, infinite Sangeeta doesn’t accept it, neither take it for granted. In fact she challenges herself throughout her journey as an artist is experience this truth for herself.

She was aware and conscious of the fact that path of abstraction is uncertain, unknown are rarely travelled. Nevertheless she chose to explore the path and in the process carved her own destiny. Abstraction has been her journey as well as her destination. Her works not merely depict a play of colour, a skillful creation of textures they are so much more, they are a discovery of oneself. Her abstraction helps one to be centered to feel complete, whole. Her abstracts take you in a meditative space where something in you will become silent, something in you will become still. Such art is possible when one has attained a higher plane of being, has reached the peak this artist has managed to create something which will take you from darkness to sunlight peaks. These works are not accidental splash of colours they are reflective, intrinsically precious.

In the mundane chaos of our present world the real cosmos is lost. Her effort to create a cosmos is lost. Her efforts to create a cosmos encompassing human dignity, is the challenge she has accepted. For her abstraction is neither a therapy nor a catharsis, for her it is a mystery. Her works bring the wandering mind to rest. They are a deep communion with nature. Anything that comes out of mind will remain subjective art and anything that comes out of no-mind, out of silence, out of meditation will be abstract art. If the art is coming out of silence within you, not pre thought, pre planned but spontaneous then it goes on to surprise the artist. Then one has left oneself in the lap of existence and merged oneself to experience ananda, the bliss.
