Giant Starkenn Conducted Women’s Ride to Celebrate the Spirit of Womanhood

To salute the spirit of womanhood, Starkenn Sports Pvt. Ltd. Organized a women’s bicycle ride on the occasion of International women’s day starting from Giant Starkenn Bicycle world and driving through prominent spots in Pune like Sancheti Hospital- Rani Laxmi Bai statue -JM road - Deccan- Café Goodluck- -JM road and Savitri Bai Phule University. The 20 km ride celebrated social, economic, culture and political achievements of women and aimed at creating awareness about women empowerment. The company urged and encouraged communities to honor them for their contributions and accomplishments. India’s first International woman rider and winner of several National Championships, Rutuja Satput,e led the rally from the front and it received an overwhelming participation from women across the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pravin V Patil, Managing Director and CEO, Starkenn Sports Pvt Ltd said, “The participation of women at all levels, thereby reinforcing our belief in the movement was overwhelming. Through this ride, we wanted to encourage women to make choices they like confidently and encourage communities to accept and nurture the same whole heartedly. It was heartening to see women from across different sectors come in large numbers to participate in the ride. We would continue to support women empowerment and create many more such rides promoting gender equality across the country.”

India’s first International woman rider and participant in the rally Rutuja Satpute said, “It was an honor and privilege to partake in the bicycle rally by Giant Starkenn on the occasion of Women’s Day. In all our vivacious diversity, we women are steadfast in making a paradigm shift. Cycling has done more to liberate women than anything else as it gives a feeling of independence and self-reliance. I would like to congratulate Starkenn sports for organizing this bicycle rally and I would like to appeal to all the women that they should concentrate on their physical fitness and join this sport.”

More than 100 women riders across different age groups dressed in traditional and modern attire participated in the rally. Women were seen clicking selfies with their fellow participants and enjoying their moment to the fullest.
