India’s only GP3 Winner and Haas F1 Development Driver, Arjun Maini today announced a multi-year representation association with Baseline Ventures. The 19 year old, who is the first Indian to win a GP3 race driving with Jenzer Motorsport, is currently third in the GP3 World Championships driver rankings and has been supported over the last few years by JK Racing and TVS Racing.

Commenting on the association, Gautam Maini, Arjun’s father said, “We have come a long way with Arjun’s career, from his Karting days to his current GP3 title and the transition he has made as a driver is respected globally. With all the significant developments in his career currently, we did really need to be associated with a team that could professionally manage the commercial aspects of his career and garner support from the community to assist in providing him the right opportunities. “Gautam, who has raced on the Indian Circuits, was also quick to acknowledge the backing of Arjun’s current sponsors, adding, “We are thankful to all the support from JK Racing and TVS Motorsports, who have believed in Arjun for the last few years and look to add more such support through the guidance and professional support of Baseline team which has done excellent work with all the athletes that they have managed till now.”

The 19-year-old Arjun is currently competing in the GP3 Series for Jenzer Motorsport after running 14 of the 18 GP3 Series races in 2016. Despite missing the first four races, Maini finished 10th in the championship standings with a best finish of second, earned July 23 at the Hungaroring in Budapest.

Arjun earned his first title in 2007 when he won the Rotax Mini Max National Championship. Numerous wins and podiums followed before Maini began the transition to open-wheel machines. He won the 2013 Formula BMW Super Six Series in Asia and finished second overall in the 2014 BRDC Formula 4 championship with four wins, 10 podiums, five poles and six fastest laps. In 2015, Maini competed in the Toyota Racing Series New Zealand and finished fourth in the standings with two wins, five podiums, three poles and two fastest laps . Maini gained experience over one and a Half years in the FIA Formula3 series before moving to GP3 in 2016.
