Ram Chandnani Named Co-Chair of CoreNet Global India Chapter

BENGALURU, 7th June, 2017  — CoreNet Global, the world’s largest professional association for the corporate real estate industry, will host its 4th Annual India Conference in Bengaluru on Wednesday, 21st June 2017. Renowned journalist Shekhar Gupta will speak at the opening session of the conference which aims to explore how the corporate real estate sector is growing, developing and evolving in one of the world’s most dynamic economies.

Breakout sessions at the India conference will cover live, work and play environments, the “office of the future” and the disruptive impact of robotics, among other topics that are impacting the Indian corporate real estate sector at large.

“With India’s government looking to push through key economic initiatives such as the goods and services tax (GST) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), India’s 517 million square feet corporate real estate sector is likely to witness a sizeable impact in terms of valuation and rental yield,” said Ram Chandnani, CBRE Managing Director – Advisory & Transaction Services India and the newly elected co-chair of the India chapter of CoreNet Global.

“The disruptive nature of technology and talent coupled with a hypercompetitive business environment, has seen the country’s corporate real estate market and workplaces being redefined. Companies now recognize the need to revise their real estate requirements to unlock new sources of growth and overcome new workplace challenges,” he said.

Chandnani joins chapter co-chair Shamsher Sindhu, Executive Vice President - Infrastructure and Projects at Kotak Mahindra Bank.
