C Krishniah Chetty Foundation brings this thought provoking theatre on influencing the influencer to Bengalureans

Bangalore August 24, 2017: C Krishniah Chetty Foundation, is bringing a thought provoking play- YUGPURUSH for Bengaluru audience, to commemorate the 60 years of continuing service of their Trustee & Chairman Shri C V Hayagriv.  A story never told before, about the inspiration and influence behind Gandhiji’s journey through life, this play is bound to enthrall Bangalore theatre lovers. Truly an unmissable opportunity.

YUGPURUSH will be screened in Kannada (all Kannada Cast) at 2:00 pm and for the first time in English at 6:00 pm on Friday, 1st September 2017 at Chowdiah Memorial Hall. Tickets are sold through bookmyshow.com at Rs 1000/- Rs 600/- & Rs 300/- each.

For theatre lovers of Bengaluru, we are happy to present this interesting play which explores the bond shared between Shrimadji and Gandhiji through stellar performances. The event also coincides with 60 years of continuous service by C. V. Hayagriv, Chairman & Director, C Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers. On his wish every rupee raised by sale of tickets will go to the Foundation to support healthcare & education for the underprivileged.”

The play revolves around the bond shared between Gandhiji and Shrimadji. This close association contributed a great deal in moulding Gandhiji’s character. In fact, he attributes his strong foundation of truth, non-violence and self-improvement to Shrimadji.

Through dramatic, strong and powerful performances, the cast of YUGPURUSH will enact the interaction between Mohandas Karmachand Gandhi and his guiding light, Shrimad Rajchandraji. This close association contributed a great deal in moulding Gandhiji’s character, thoughts and actions.
Part of proceeds will go towards building a 200 bed hospital by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission in Gujarat. The CKC Group has also sponsored 500 seats to accommodate children in government, private & public schools to witness the play.
