L&T joins hands with Mukti Foundation for a noble cause

Chennai, 14th August 2017: Larsen & Toubro, Domestic Marketing Network, Chennai Area Office has been conducting CSR activities in and around Chennai every year and helping the society in uplifting the life and the living.  As a part of CSR activities Larsen and Toubro has joined hands with The Mukti Foundation part of M S Dadha Foundation, Meenambakkam in donating artificial limbs and callipers to physically challenged people.

Larsen Toubro has been associated with the Foundation since 2013 and has been regularly conducting these donation camps since 2013. This year Larsen & Toubro in coordination with Mukti Foundation had organised Mukti – Artificial Limb and Calliper donation camp on 11 Aug at 10.30 am in Mukti foundation premises.

Mukti Foundation on its own cannot meet the demand for the Limbs and Callipers with their limited financial resources. It has been the endeavour at Larsen and Toubro for the past 4 years, to associate with and support Mukti Foundation in the noble cause. It is praise worthy that the limbs provided by them are made in house by differently abled people who are contributing to the Cause of “MUKTI - Liberating Life line”. These are very economical, functional, practical and flexible, yet sturdy, enabling a person’s life to get back to near normalcy.

The occasion was graced by Shri S Viajayakumar, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Meenambakkam as Chief Guest for the Event. This year, Mukti Foundation had identified 40 beneficiaries for providing artificial limbs and callipers free of cost at Mukti foundation Office at Meenambakkam during the event. Mr. Mahendra Dadha, founding Trustee of  M S Dadha foundation, Mr. Vinod Anand, Area Manager, L&T-DMN and Mrs. Shiela Chandran, AGM, L&T-Accounts organised the Donation Camp and donated the limbs and callipers to the beneficiaries along with the Chief Guest.
