Meluha, The Fern, Powai celebrate Independence Day with much fanfare

Meluha, The Fern, Powai, celebrated Independence Day by organizing a musical journey tracing the history of India from the Mughal Empire till the terror attack on Mumbai.

Various staff members gave a miss to their regular uniforms and adorned the robes of Akbar, Shivaji, Jhansi ki Rani , Subhash Chandra Bose etc to depict the Indian history in the most fascinating  manner. The musical also highlighted the role of armed forces in securing our borders from enemies.  The Kargil war, the capture of Tiger hills was also enacted with some deft moves.  It concluded with the terror attacks on Mumbai on Nov 26.

The entire show was presented in the most professional manner with proper lighting, music, dialogues and dance. The staff practiced the same for more than two weeks to make it success. Army veterans and expatriates staying in the vicinity, police officials, and hotel guests were invited to watch an engaging and moving performance.

Speaking at the occasion, Punish B Sharma, area general manager said, “Contributing towards the cause of the nation is extremely important for all of us. If we can’t honor the nation, we can’t honor anyone.” Expressing his pleasure on successfully organizing the event he said, “We feel very proud and happy to organize this event on this momentous occasion. The staff has worked really hard to make it a success. “
