New Delhi, September 9, 2017: Day 2 of EEMAGINE 2017 saw yet another momentous day as the conclave continued full throttle in tune with the theme of its 10th edition, a “Decade of Transformation”.

Kickstarting the day was the We Care Power Walk that was dedicated to show solidarity and support to the women in the industry and to promote gender equality at the workplace.

Talking about the We care power walk initiative Poonam Lal, VP Gender Equality, EEMA, expressed, “For an industry that works round the clock, 24*7*365 this initiative works to create a safe work place for women, who make up 50% of this industry’s work force. The walk was symbolic and a reiteration of our commitment towards this initiative”

The inaugural had an enchanting 10 piece flute symphony of the National Anthem by Nakshatra giving a streak of patriotism to the day,

Raising the exotic quotient of the day was the “Let’s do the Haka” performance reinforcing the spirit of togetherness.

The day saw a series of discussions and sessions encompassing many areas. Began with an interactive session that journeyed back to where it all began, with all the EEMA presidents Michael Menezes – Brian Tellis – Sabbas Joseph reliving milestone moments, followed by the business transformation session by Vikram Sakhuja, CEO, Madison Media, #HarIndianKaMoonshot, get ready for the first event of the moon by the founders of Team Indus and Transforming Indian Sports with Joy Bhattacharya, Project Director, FIFA, U-17 World Cup. Each session was an eye opener for the guests and participants present as the speakers shared insights and experiences.

Commenting on the day’s activities Mr. Sabbas Joseph, President EEMA and Director, Wizcraft International said, “With the kind of response and support we are receiving at EEMAGINE 2017 we can confidently say that it’s going to get bigger and better from here and the events and experiential industry will set benchmarks and grow exponentially while giving the communication landscape a whole new meaning and becoming an industry that continues to be a pride to the Nation.”

An EEMA coffee table book encapsulating iconic events that changed the business, a listing of the key contributors to the industry, influential women in events and more, was launched in the presence of Maestreo AR Rahman and Babul Surpiyo, Minister of State for Heavy Industries. Rahman spoke about his initiative, the One Heart Foundation for musicians, a foundation especially designed to support musicians out of work by extending support to their families’ health, education and wellbeing. The event fraternity unanimously committed their support to the cause. The first 3 copies of the coffee table book were signed by Rahman and Babul Supriyo and will be auctioned, with the proceeds going to One Heart Foundation. He also did an impromptu piano performance of his all-time hit Tu hi Re leaving the audience spell bound.

Talking about the In conversation with Mr. Rahman, Roshan Abbas, Managing Director, Encompass expressed, “AR Rehman has always been an inspiration. It was a pleasure to play host to him and get him to share his incredible journey with EEMA member.”

Adding to the spirit of the evening and stealing the show was the surprise performance by Babul Surpiyo and a special performance by Mix Tape, an ensemble of musicians that kept the guests entertained.
