MLR Auto and Continental Engines sign up with Greaves Cotton for developing fuel agnostic Last Mile Transport Solutions.

Bangalore, 21 September 2017: Greaves Cotton, the market leader in diesel powertrains for last mile transport, today announced an agreement to develop fuel agnostic last mile transport solutions with MLR Auto and Continental Engines Pvt Ltd (Baxy Group), two of India’s well known Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The partnership aims to develop a new generation of fuel agnostic power train solutions for the  3-wheeler segment, catering to passenger and cargo mobility solutions meeting BS VI norms using Diesel, Petrol, CNG as well as electric-powered solutions for last mile transportation.

With the Indian automotive market gearing up for a technological, regulatory and business model disruption by 2020, Greaves has been investing in the market and building capabilities to meet the demand for fuel agnostic, future ready solutions serving the 3-wheeler & micro 4-wheeler last mile transportation market, using a range of fuels including diesel, petrol, CNG and electric.

Last week, Greaves also signed an agreement with another leading OEM reinforcing its advancement in this area. Greaves has the advantage of a large network of 3500+ spares & service outlets which is planned to be upgraded to serve the entire range of fuel agnostic vehicles.
