Bengaluru,  2017: Upon the success of the free services provided to women on the 9th of last month - DocsApp, a chat based healthcare platform that connects patients to specialist doctors in less than 30 minutes, has now decided to continue providing the service on an ongoing basis on the 9th of every month.

Fulfilling its promise of making quality medical consultation accessible across geographical locations, this service exclusively benefits women. Women across India can now consult a doctor free of cost through DocsApp on the 9th of every month from 9AM to 9PM. The PMSMA aims to provide assured, comprehensive and quality antenatal care, free of cost, across the country to all pregnant women on the 9th of every month. Following the footsteps of PMSMA, going forward - the app will now provide free consultations for all women’s related issues in the Gynecology and Infertility department.

Insights from the free service provided last month showed that women across the cities of Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Delhi, Pune, Sikkim, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Lucknow had used the service. The top 4 issues that were addressed included – Sexual health, irregular periods, infertility concerns, pregnancy concerns. 50% were women aged 25-35 years, while the remaining 35% were aged 36-45 years, and surprisingly had 15% of men asking on behalf of women aged 20-25 years. The most common question being addressed was that about irregular periods and the women were happy to receive easy access to gynecologists. DocsApp dedicated this service to create awareness and help women consult a specialist regarding any women health issues like Menopause, PCOD, EcPs etc. DocsApp is already proficient in areas such as Gynecology, Infertility, Sexology, Pediatrics, General Medicine, Oncology etc.

Commenting on the new service, Satish Kannan, CEO & Co-founder, DocsApp said, “It's not enough to just tell women to take care of themselves, we want to help them to actually do it. For this, we offered free consultations for women, which garnered an amazing response. We have now decided to do this every month to do our bit to ensure that the women of our country are healthy and self-aware and also contribute towards the PMSMA. ”

DocsApp is the first online healthcare service provider to have won three ISO certifications- for impeccable quality management system, information security management system, customer satisfaction & complaints handling.
