Bangalore, November 27th, 2015: The Scottish Universities under the ‘GREAT Scotland’ campaign hosted an interactive networking event in Bangalore today at the Hilton Bangalore Embassy GolfLinks. The session was aimed at exposing aspirants to educational opportunities in Scotland through counselling and advice. Faculty member Paul Holmes delivered a thought-provoking lecture on Digital Visual Arts. The event saw participation from over 9 Scotland institutions and several prospective and aspiring students from Bangalore, who received an opportunity to talk to the representatives and understand various nuances of studying in Scotland such as course choices, visas, applications, scholarships, etc. Prestigious alumni from Scottish Universities were also present to reiterate the enriching experience that students can avail at these Universities.

The session in Bangalore was organized to provide information on undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in Scotland, and also offer valuable information on student life and culture. The insightful seminars threw light on various important subjects. The session on Digital Visual Arts highlighted the importance of images, film, graphics and sound in the current scenario.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Stuart Easter, International Officer, The University of Edinburgh, said, “The GREAT Scotland Universities campaign is an important initiative to engage, encourage and inspire young Indian students. The ‘GREAT Scotland’ is a three-city campaign, organized in Mumbai (November 25th), Bengaluru (November 27th), and New Delhi (November 30th) respectively, with the presence of eminent speakers, academic faculty, and alumni.
