Delhi, December 08, 2015: Bajaj Finserv Limited today released a clarification on the news item that appeared in some leading national and regional dailies on December 5, 2015 regarding de-registration of Bajaj Finserv Limited as a NBFC.

The company clarified that Bajaj Finserv Limited is the holding company of Bajaj Finance Limited, India’s leading and most diversified NBFC. Bajaj Finserv Limited is now classified as a “Core investment company” as it does not have any public funds including deposits or borrowings. Due to this Bajaj Finserv Limited is not required to be registered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and hence, it has surrendered its NBFC registration for cancellation as required by the RBI.
