 In an endeavour to promote Indian Handicrafts and Handlooms and to showcase the rich heritage of India , Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India, A Government of India Undertaking, Ministry of Textiles  is  organising an Exhibition cum Sale of Handicrafts & Handlooms sponsored by Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Govt. of India,  at Srinivasa Sagar Kalyana Mahal, 264/266, T Mariyappa Road, 2nd Block, Jayanagar, Near Ashoka Pillar, Bangalore 560011 till 24th January 2016.

"Cottage Sankranti Utsav" provides an opportunity to about Fifty artisans  including National and State Awardees  from various parts of India participating in this Cottage Sankranti Utsav representing their regions  to behold the rich and varied art and craft traditions of India's culturally enriched regions, providing a glimpse of their culture and a chance to exchange creativities.

On display are exquisite Jewellery, Paintings, Metal ware, Woodcraft, Wood Carvings, Art Objects, Marble Craft, Women's wear, Men's Wear, Sarees, Shawls, Dress Fabrics in textiles the rich weaving tradition of India  represented by the wide range of Handlooms and cotton sarees and dress materials from Jaipur,Gujarat, chikan embroidered kurtas from Lucknow, silk Kurtas, Jackets, silk scarves to name the few. Special display of exquisite Cottage Furniture both Corded , Oriental from Delhi and Saharanpur.

This Cottage Sankranti Utsav is yet another step by CCIC, Benguluru, in co-ordination with Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Govt. of India, to encourage the craft persons and present their creations to the discerning buyers from all parts of the globe.
