We are privileged to have these women with us who serve as an example to the society. I congratulate MLA N A Haris and his foundation for taking up this initiative and hope to see many more development programs for women implemented soon”
Commenting on the purpose of this event, MLA of Shantinagar constituency, N A Haris said “We cannot imagine a life without women.  But today our country has reached a situation where we fail to respect and value the women in our society. India has been considered to be a male dominated society and has always suppressed the rights and needs of women. With changing times, we adapt to newer things and ways of life, then why don’t we see women as equal beings as men?. Instead of stepping forward to help women, the society has always taken two steps back, making it more and more challenging for her. We at N A Haris foundation want to lead with example and be the drivers of change. Hence we are taking similar initiatives every year, to showcase the achievements of women who have broken the shackles of suppression and stereotype to come out and achieve their goals and  serve as living examples to all of us “

“As an elected representative, I believe its my duty to put in every effort to ensure that the women in my constituency get equal rights and opportunities as the men. The members of Mahila Congress have been very active in organizing various activities and programs throughout the year. I urge all women to participate in these activities in large numbers”

Mohammed Haris Nalapad, Executive Director of the N A Haris Foundation said “We are proud to take up this initiative and felicitate women achievers. We hope that the achievements of these women serve as an example to motivate us to break free and bring about the change we need. Atrocities against women are on rise and with each passing day more and more instances are coming to light. We definitely cannot address all problems single handedly; hence we need to empower every single women so that she is equipped to fight her own battle. We have and will continue to provide the platform that our women need. We urge all women to step up and voice out their concerns and we at N A Haris Foundation will do our best to address it”
