Saina Nehwal was born on 17 March 1990 she is an Indian professional badminton singles player. She belongs to Haryana but her family shifted to Hyderabad when she was only 5 years old. Saina Nehwal grandmother was not happy at her birth as her grandmother wanted a boy. She made her International Debut with India Asian Satellite in 2005. In 2012 she won the bronze medal at the London Olympics. In the year of October 2016 she was appointed as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Athletes Commission.
