Future Generali India Insurance launches 'Future Vector Care – Group'

Mumbai, July 24, 2018: Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII), the general insurance arm of the joint venture between retail game changers Future Group and global insurer Generali  has launched 'Future Vector Care – Group'. It is a group insurance policy which will provide financial support in battling vector-borne diseases like malaria, dengue,zika virus etc at affordable premium.

Vector-borne diseases are human illnesses caused by parasites, viruses and bacteria that are transmitted by ticks, fleas, mosquitoes and phlebotomine sandflies. According to the World Health Organisation, these diseases account for 17% of the estimated global burden of all infectious diseases.

The insurance policy is available to any person below the age of 65 years without any medical tests. The sum insured options available in the product range between ₹ 10000 to ₹ 75000 per person, per annum.

This insurance plan will provide a lump sum benefit in case the insured gets hospitalised (for continuous period of 24 hours) due to any of the following diseases caused by vectors: (i) Malaria (ii) Dengue (iii) Lymphatic Filariasis (iv) Kala-azar (v) Japanese Encephalitis (vi) Chikungunya (vii) Zika Virus
