Helen Maroulis then transferred to Marquette Senior High School in Marquette, Michigan, before joining the women's wrestling team at Missouri Baptist University in Saint Louis, Missouri, before eventually transferring to Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
