Jay Black later career was marked by tours of New York State and Florida, where he performed primarily solo, and in which he interspersed stand-up comedy routines before his singing. Jay and his brother were fluent in the Yiddish language. In 1966, he released a Yiddish song titled "Where Is My Village," which was about Holocaust.
