It all started when Paskowitz was a member of the Action Sports community. He spent most of his years staying in Orange County, California. He took art classes at The Art Students League of New York City, where he learned how to paint with oil on canvas.

He founded a graphic design firm later in his career. Billabong and Hurley Sportswear were among the clients he acquired. Salvador also wrote comic books as a youngster, such as the Surf Crazed and Wave Warrior comics. They were published in Surfing Magazine. In 2007, he decided to devote his whole time to screenwriting.
