Duke Ragan had a woman his life whose name is Jamika Campbell with whom he had a relationship and was blessed with 1 child. Duke Ragan Career
Duke Ragan began boxing at the Cincinnati Golden Gloves boxing club in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of his hometown, where he learned the sport. As an amateur, Duke Ragan competed in the bantamweight category at the 2017 World Championships and the 2019 Pan American Games, where he won silver medals.
Duke Ragan found out in June 2021 that he had qualified for the Tokyo Olympics as a featherweight, less than a year after turning pro. As a result, Duke Ragan won his first four fights in Tokyo to earn a spot in the gold medal fight, upsetting top-seeded fighters Samuel Kistohurry and Serik Temirzhanov along the way.
Duke Ragan made his pro debut in July 2020, under the management of James Prince. Officially, he was scheduled to make his debut on August 8th. In August, he acquired a multi-year promotional agreement with Bob Arum's Top Rank with his rescheduled debut set for August 22 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Paradise, Nevada, facing Luis Alvarado on the undercard of Eleider Alvarez against Joe Smith Jr.
Ultimately, Duke Ragan was defeated in the Olympic final by fellow professional Albert Batyrgaziev of the Russian squad, (3:2). Duke Ragan was victorious in the third round on four out of the five judges' scorecards, although he blamed his loss on a sluggish start.
Duke Ragan did, however, become the first professional boxer to earn a medal for the United States team. His achievement made him only the second silver medallist for the United States men's team since 2004, the first being Shakur Stevenson. Duke Ragan knocked Luis Alvarado to the ground with a right hand in the first round of the fight. He was able to make it back to his feet before the count of ten by judge Jay Nady.
Luis Alvarado became lost and turned his back on Nady, prompting him to stop the fight, giving Ragan a first-round technical knockout (TKO) victory.
