OYO announced a strategic partnership with ItzCash to build strong omni-channel presence

June 08, 2016: OYO, India’s largest branded network of hotels announced a strategic partnership with ItzCash, India’s pioneer and the largest player in the digital payments space, to tap the next 500 million underserved Indian consumer segment. The tie-up will facilitate effortless payments for hotel-bookings across 5500 hotels in over 170 cities in India through ItzCash’s easy money transfer solutions. With this partnership ItzCash is going aggressive in hotel booking and aims to double its volume and clock Rs. 400 crore by FY18. ItzCash is backed by Lightspeed Ventures, which is also an investor in OYO.

The partnership will help OYO tap potential consumers who do not have access to either a debit or a credit card.ItzCash is already a dominant player in travel segment, and will offer access to OYO via an online co-branded portal as well as offline outlets. Both partners also have existing synergies such as deep integration with IRCTC. Elaborating on the partnership, Ritesh Agarwal, CEO & Founder, OYO said, “Our journey towards becoming India’s most loved hotel brand has been driven primarily by customers who engaged with us online or through their mobile devices. IRCTC Appoints ZoopIndia as its Tech-Driven Food Aggregator

The tech-startup to bring a wide assortment of delicacies right at passengers’ seats

New Delhi, May 12, 2016: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Cooperation (IRCTC) have appointed ZoopIndia as one of its official Food Aggregator for ordering scrumptious food in train journeys. Following the appointment, the technology startup is slated to enhance passengers’ convenience by delivering sumptuous food right at their seats.

The startup aims to revolutionize the Indian Railway Catering and allows passengers to select from a wide assortment of delicacies. Chandigarh, March 21, 2016: Domino’s Pizza, India’s pizza delivery expert and market leader in the organized pizza segment has completed a successful first year of partnership with IRCTC for providing hot and fresh pizzas to IRCTC passengers on board. The partnership that was announced in February 2015 as part of IRCTC’s e-catering service “Food on Track” has already seen over 10,000 Domino’s Pizza orders being served to Indian Railways passengers across tier-1, tier-2 and tier-3 Indian cities.

Domino’s Pizza is the single largest food brand to deliver on Indian railways as part of the “Food on Track” E-catering initiative by IRCTC and the brand plans to grow its delivery perimeter from the existing 60 stations across 52 cities to over 130 stations across 107 Indian cities in the coming months. The expansion is a result of the positive response received by IRCTC for its endeavor to make available hygienic, fresh and good quality food to its passengers.

As part of the expansion and to make the delivery process more seamless, Domino’s Pizza will also integrate its ordering modules with IRCTC to achieve order flow automation and to offer greater variety to the passengers of the Indian railways.

To celebrate the partnership with IRCTC, Domino’s Pizza would be giving away e-vouchers worth INR 100 each to all passengers booking Domino’s pizza on Indian railways between 01/03/2016 and 31/03/2016.
