A traditional Maharashtrian fare awaits the guest on the occasion of Gudi Padwa at Saptami the multi-cuisine all day dining restaurant at Holiday Inn Mumbai International Airport, Sakinaka Andheri East.
Gudi Padva is the Sanskrit name for Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. It is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month to mark the beginning of the New year according to the lunisolar Hindu calendar. The word (pāḍavā) or (pāḍavo) comes from the Sanskrit word(pāḍḍavā/pāḍḍavo), which stands for the first day of the bright phase of the moon called (pratipadā) in Sanskrit.
Some of the mouthwatering non vegetarian preparations on the menu include mutton kolhapuri , murgh maratha, kolambi chi biryani etc.
The vegetarians can relish paneer kala rassa, batatachi bhaji, barleli vangi, kale chanyachi ussal, kathal ki subzi, subz handi laziz, dal varan, masala bhaat, etc.
Besides the live counter will have pasta, kheema kalegi pav and neer dosa and variety of chaats. A variety of desserts like rice kheer, malpua, shreekhand, gujiya and boondi laddo will be the part of the traditional fare. There will a lot of international desserts as well.
